Instructions for playing full WoW MMO game for free

1) If you don't have torrent software, install uTorrent for free here: http://www.utorrent.com/downloads/

2) Download the WoW 3.3.5a (12340) version client torrent file: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0DTFLZOT - click the link, wait 40 seconds, then a Regular Download button will appear. Click to download and open the file, it should automatically open with uTorrent or your torrent software and begin downloading. It's 16.6 GB so it may take a while depending on your connection speed.

3) After the download completes, copy the game files to the desired directory, but do not update. If you already have WoW on your computer for Blizzard's servers, make sure to copy the files to a different directory name than default. If an update starts, close out the game updater and game. If you install an update your client will not be compatible with the free Truewow server, and you won't be able to connect.

4) Do not use any shortcuts for WoW that are installed on the Desktop and Start Menu. The default shortcuts will load the game launcher.exe file which will patch and change the version of your client. Instead you want to load wow.exe directly, which can be found in the default installation folder of C:\program files\worldofwarcaft\.Either edit the default shortcuts and change them to load wow.exe instead of launcher.exe, or delete them and create your own new shortcuts for wow.exe.

5) Use Notepad to edit your "realmlist.wtf" file located at C:\program files\worldofwarcaft\data\enUS\realmlist.wtf (unless you chose a different directory) and delete and replace everything with "set Realmlist 184.154.79.250" (without the quotes) and save the file. This sets the game to login to the free Truewow server instead of the Blizzard server.

6) Create a free TrueWoW account here: http://184.154.79.250/index.php?n=account&sub=register

7) Log in with your account and play World of Warcraft for free.
